Welcome to CranmoreConnects Education Mentoring Programme. If you are exploring your future options, this site has lots of information on what is possible.
You can also contact our Education Mentor, Ronan Cox who can support you to work out what direction to take and then help you take the next step. This might be help with filling out application forms, finding information on specific courses or just a general chat about your interests and what will work for you.
Ronan works in the Cranmore Regeneration Office located at 7-9 Devins Drive and is available to anyone at any age, living in the Cranmore Regeneration area and who is currently enrolled or is looking for more information on education; courses, funding, grants etc.
The Cranmore Education Mentor Program is a joint initiative between the Cranmore Regeneration Office and the ATU Sligo. It is a key element in the implementation of the Sligo East City, Cranmore and Environs Regeneration Masterplan. It is part of the Higher Education Authority Attract – Transition – Succeed (ATS) project set up to increase the diversity and social mix of the student population within the higher education institutions (HEIs) in the West and North West of Ireland.
In November 2023, Ronan Cox took up the role of education mentor to continue and build on the great work achieved by Celia Keenaghan since its inception in August 2019. The Education mentor provides one to one mentoring support to young people and adults as well as engaging with the community to access community based study support workshops and online learning support.
